Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms", "Terms of Service") carefully before using our MacroKit service (the "Service") operated by MacroKit ("us", "we", or "our").

Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users and others who access or use the Service.

By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms then you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

MacroKit provides free, browser-based tools for video editing and image processing, including:

  • Video Splitter - Split videos into multiple clips
  • Video Converter - Convert videos between formats
  • Image Cropper - Crop and resize images
  • Audio Extractor - Extract audio tracks from video files

All processing is performed locally in your browser. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available".

3. User Conduct

You agree not to use the Service:

  • For any unlawful purpose or to violate any laws
  • To process content that infringes on the rights of others, including intellectual property rights
  • To process illegal, harmful, or offensive content
  • To interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • To attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service
  • To circumvent any technical measures we use to provide the Service

4. Your Content

You retain all ownership rights to the content you process using our Service. Since all processing happens locally in your browser:

  • Your files are never uploaded to our servers
  • We do not have access to your content
  • We do not store, copy, or retain your files
  • You are solely responsible for your content and its legality

5. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality (excluding user content), is owned by MacroKit and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

6. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which governs your use of the Service and describes our data collection and use practices.

7. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.

8. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall MacroKit, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

  • Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service
  • Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service
  • Any content obtained from the Service
  • Unauthorized access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content

9. Disclaimer

Your use of the Service is at your sole risk. The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MacroKit, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any and all claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses arising from or relating to: (a) your use of the Service, (b) content you process using the Service, (c) your violation of these Terms, or (d) your violation of any rights of another party.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will try to provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect.
